ROTC Injury Prevention Program

Program Mission:

Implement a holistic and comprehensive injury prevention program among the Georgia Southern University ROTC program to encourage and assist in providing an environment conducive to lifelong wellness and to provide cadets with opportunities to learn how they can improve their level of health, improve sports performance and reduce health and injury risks.

Program Objectives:

  1. Reduce orthopedic and/or musculoskeletal injury rates among Georgia Southern University ROTC cadets.
  2. Increase ROTC retention rate and increase the number of contracted ROTC Georgia Southern University graduates.
  3. Improve communication and strengthen the relationship between Georgia Southern University ROTC, Military Student Veterans, Health Services and The Health & Kinesiology Department.
  4. Establish a direct contact to treat illness and orthopedic and/or musculoskeletal related injury among ROTC cadets.
  5. Better prepare ROTC graduates as officers for the United States Army.
  6. Improved Sports Performance indications during cadet physical training tests.

  • Strength and Conditioning Program Guidance for the ROTC Program and the Ranger Challenge Team
  • Mobility and Myofascial Release Clinics
  • Healthy Lifestyle Consultations
  • Guest Lectures and Wellness Workshops
