Our Purpose

Mission Statement

The mission of the Student Government Association is to serve as advocates to the student body and be liaisons between them, the administration, faculty, and staff. We strive to ensure responsive, inclusive, participatory, and representative decision-making at all levels to uphold effective, accountable, and transparent leadership; which will reflect the best interests of the students we serve.


When observing the roles of Student Government Association, SERVICE is one of the first items that should be discussed. The role of each member of this organization is to be centered on serving his peers. As the liaison for the students to the faculty, staff, and administration of the University, it is key that we understand that our decisions should be based on who we serve.


As our University continues to GROW, it is important that we as an organization advance as well. This does not mean that we must increase the number of members, but that we must expand our services and outreach to ensure that we are serving all areas of our student body.


Advocacy is an integral part of the work that we do as the official voice of students to continue to make great strides as an institution. We should never cease to assess our role as advocators while striving to create a safe and inclusive environment for the entire eagle family.
