Process for all Candidates

  • Fill out the Candidate Intent to Run form. Candidates qualifications have to be screened to ensure candidate is eligible to run in SGA elections.
  • All eligible candidates must attend one Candidate Information Session.
  • Campaign according to the Elections Guidelines and only during the campaigning window: March 18 at 8:00 a.m. – March 31 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Elections are March 25-27, 2024 and open to the entire student body to vote.

Candidate Information Sessions

All candidates are required to attend one of the available Candidate Information Sessions. All sessions will take place virtually on Zoom. Registration Links for each meeting can be found below.

  • Friday, February 23rd, 4PM-5PM – Passed
  • Monday, February 26th, 4PM-5PM – Passed
  • Wednesday, February 28th, 5PM-6PM – Passed
  • Tuesday, March 5th, 5PM-6PM – Passed
  • Wednesday, March 6th, 5PM-6PM – Passed

Elections Timeline

  • February 19 – March 6 Complete the Candidate Intent to Run Form
    • DEADLINE TO FILE IS MARCH 6th
    • All submissions will receive a notification after submitting their form to their Georgia Southern email after determining eligibility.
  • Candidate Information Session
    • REQUIRED Information Sessions for students interested in running – every candidate must attend one session.
      • Friday, February 23rd, 4PM-5PM
      • Monday, February 26th, 4PM-5PM
      • Wednesday, February 28th, 5PM-6PM
      • Tuesday, March 5th, 5PM-6PM
      • Wednesday, March 6th, 5PM-6PM
  • March 18 at 8:00 a.m. – March 31 at 11:59 p.m.
    Candidate Campaigning
  • March 25 – 27, 2024 (Monday, 12:00 a.m. through Wednesday, 11:59 p.m.)
    Elections (Vote online via MyGeorgiaSouthern link)
  • March 28th at 12:00 p.m.
    Announcement of Winners
  • April 1 at 5:30 p.m.
    Newly elected Armstrong members of SGA attend SGA Senate meeting to be recognized
  • April 15 at 5:30 p.m.
    Newly elected Statesboro members of SGA attend SGA Senate meeting to be recognized
