|Information Sessions & Tables||
Throughout the semester, recruiters come on campus to meet students and share information about their companies. Information sessions are presentations given by recruiters to groups of students, usually in the evenings. Some companies choose to set up information tables throughout the day in high-traffic areas, like the Russell Union or in your college’s lobby area. Visiting there is a great way to connect with employers and learn what they look for when hiring brand new graduates.
These dates are being added all the time, so be sure to keep an eye out for information. Attending these sessions will put you one step ahead of the competition!
|Last Chance Career Fair||This is the last career fair of the year allowing students one more opportunity before summer to connect in person with employers regarding internships, co-ops, and full-time career opportunities. This year, we’ve collaborated with the Student Employment Center to bring employers to campus who are hiring for summer opportunities here in Statesboro.|
|Mock Interview Day||Usually held the day before Eagle Expo, Mock Interview Day allows students to go through the process of a 30-minute interview with a real employer. Students receive feedback on their etiquette, body language, and answers to questions, so that they can hone their interviewing skills and become more competitive candidates.|
|Résumé Boot Camp||These workshops, held throughout the semester usually 1 – 2 weeks before a major career fair on campus, give students the opportunity to “drop in” and quickly have their résumé reviewed by a Career Development Specialist without making an appointment. Bring a résumé you’ve already created or start from scratch, and these professional staff members will help you define your experiences to best sell your skills to potential employers.|
|STEM Career Fair||The STEM Fair is a career fair featuring employers in the STEM fields searching for candidates to fill co-op, internship, and full-time positions. |STEM Night||Focusing on the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) industries, these events are usually held near the beginning of each semester, in early September and early February. STEM Night brings employers together for a panel discussion and information sessions, designed to help students understand the value of co-op and internship experience and how to best prepare themselves to become top candidates.|
In addition to all these recurring events, we are constantly working with academic departments to bring you networking opportunities geared toward your major.
