Here’s our Employer On-Campus Event List!
Eagle Expo is the largest career fair on campus each semester, where employers from all industries have the opportunity to recruit all majors. Each semester, over 700 students attend. Eagle Expo is usually held in late September and late February, and is accompanied by Mock Interview Day and opportunities for on campus recruiting, including on-campus interviews, information sessions, and department-specific networking events.
Education Career Fair
Usually held in early November and early March, this fair connects you with undergraduate and graduate students in our College of Education, most of whom by this point have completed various practicum and student teaching positions.
Graduate School Fair
Held early each semester to accommodate application deadlines, this fair is the place to meet students searching for that perfect-fit graduate program.
Last Chance Career Fair
As the name suggests, this is the last career fair of the year, allowing employers one more opportunity to connect with students before summer break. This is a great place to recruit for last-minute openings you may have for full-time and internship positions. This year, we’ve collaborated with the Student Employment Center to bring employers to campus who are hiring for summer opportunities here in Statesboro.
Mock Interview Day
Usually held the day before Eagle Expo, Mock Interview Day allows students to go through the process of a 30-minute interview with a real employer. Students receive feedback on their etiquette, body language, and responses to questions, so that they can hone their interviewing skills and become more competitive candidates. This is a great place to connect with students on an individual basis–often, a recruiter will encounter a student they are particularly impressed with, and a connection is made that leads to opportunities within that company.
STEM Career Fair
Focusing on the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) industries, these events are usually held near the beginning of each semester, in early September and early February. STEM Night brings employers together for panel discussion and information sessions, designed to help students understand the value of co-op and internship experience and how to best prepare themselves to become top candidates. Immediately after the panel discussion, employers have the opportunity to present information sessions about their company specifically.
In addition to all these recurring events, we are constantly working with academic departments to bring employers on campus for networking opportunities geared toward specific majors. You can find upcoming events on our Calendar or on Eagle Career Net.
