Gene has a Bachelors of Science degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in the Social Sciences from Georgia Southern College.  He has a Masters of Science degree and an Education Specialist Degree in Counselor Education from Georgia Southern University.  Gene provides academic coaching, coordinates and maintains the volunteer note taker system, administers Academic Alert advisement, and other roles as assigned. He has over 30 years experience in Secondary Education as a high school counselor and over five years of experience in the field of Disability Services.  Gene can be reached by email at
