Takeshia Brown, she/her/hers Director Email: fbrown@georgiasouthern.edu Takeshia received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication with a concentration in Media studies from the College of Charleston and a Master of Education in Counselor Education with a certificate in College Counseling and Student Affairs from The Citadel Graduate College. As Director, her responsibilities entail oversight of the department’s vision, mission, and goals as related to the University’s strategic pillars. |

Maurice Nelson, he/him/his Assistant Director – Statesboro Campus Email: mnelson@georgiasouthern.edu Maurice earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Savannah State University, a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Georgia Southern University. He leads in providing multi-identity support and coordinates the mentoring and student success initiatives, including: Hispanic Outreach and Leadership Achievement (HOLA), Minority Advisement Program (MAP), Men of Vision and Excellence (MOVE), and Sisters with Vision (SWV). |

Paris Lawrence, he/him/his Coordinator for Diversity Education and Outreach – Statesboro Campus Email: plawrence@georgiasouthern.edu Paris J. Lawrence, M.Ed., is an alumnus of both Georgia Southern University and the University of Georgia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and a Master of Education in College Student Affairs Administration, respectively. In his role, Paris facilitates diversity, equity, and inclusion training, coordinates multicultural/multi-identity programming, and advises our Diversity Peer Educators Program. Outside of work, he enjoys reading new books, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.

Ryan Moguel, he/him/his Coordinator for Diversity Education and Outreach – Armstrong campus Email: rmoguel@georgiasouthern.edu Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California Lutheran University and a Master of Science degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Miami University (Ohio). He is responsible for programming and training that focuses on diversity education and inclusion. Ryan also serves as the coordinator for the Diversity Peer Educators (DPE) on the Armstrong Campus. |
