Workout With Your Service Members

Health Promotions will host Workout with your Service Members this semester on both the Statesboro and Armstrong Campuses.

 

Statesboro Campus  11 September 6:00PM – 7:00PM, RAC Pavilion

On September 11th, join Health Services, the Counseling Center, ROTC, Team Eagle and CRI Personal Trainers in a PT Style Workout. Support and honor our Service Men & Women while raising awareness for trauma, mental health and learn how you can give support to our campus community by providing “Messages of Hope”. The Alternative/Physical Training Style Workout was facilitated by both CRI Personal Trainers and ROTC Ranger Cadets. This program intended to raise awareness for PTSD and trauma related injuries as well as educate participants in the resources available on campus for mental health support. Education relating to PTSD and Trauma Related Injuries was illustrated by displaying yard signs with inspiring quotes and facts specific to Service Men & Women. Additionally, participants were invited to write a “Message of Hope” to be hung around campus as part of National Suicide Prevention week.

 

Armstrong Campus  24 September 6:00PM – 7:00PM, SCC Ballroom C

Military Resource Center Welcome Cookout and Ropes Course

Saturday, September 1, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the RAC.
The ropes course will begin at 8 a.m. and the cookout will begin at noon at the RAC Pavilion.
