Our Mission

The mission of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Georgia Southern University is to enhance student development by creating an environment that fosters and supports leadership, civic engagement, brotherhood/sisterhood and academic success within Georgia Southern University’s community.

Our Core Values

Academic Success:
To promote intellectual growth and academic excellence through the recruitment of quality students, scholastic programming, educational support, and recognition programs.

Brotherhood and Sisterhood:
To provide a lifelong inter-fraternal family of caring brothers and/or sisters that are welcoming and supportive of their fellow chapter members. The Office will work to establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with the inter/national fraternal offices, parents, families, and campus partners in support of the betterment of the student’s development and experiences.

Civic Engagement:
To demonstrate a genuine concern for mankind through civic engagement, community relations, service and philanthropic outreach, and personal and organizational accountability.

Leadership:
To maximize the potential of the community through self-governance, collaboration, role-modeling, risk management, and ethical decision-making.
