AED at Kappa Delta House

During this past year, Georgia Southern University suffered the loss of a faculty member as well as a student as the result of cardiac arrest. We cannot help but wonder if these two lives may have been saved if an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) had been available. The sisters of Delta Lambda Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority did not want to have to wonder about that again should an unfortunate event happen on Greek Row. The sisters pooled their resources and purchased an AED for their house.

The machine is located within the foyer for quick and easy access. Many of the Kappa Delta sisters are already CPR and AED certified, and they now have plans for the entire chapter to become certified as well. The Kappa Delta sisters sincerely hope that their AED never has to be used, but should an emergency arise, anyone is welcome to use the machine.
