Dr. Patterson received her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from Georgia Southern University, making her a proud “Triple Eagle.” She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Purdue University Counseling and Psychological Services in West Lafayette, Indiana. Following internship, Dr. Patterson quickly returned to Statesboro to continue serving the Georgia Southern student body.  She has been working with college students in various capacities since 2012, including counseling, academic advising, and teaching. She is a member of the Statesboro Regional Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and advisor to the Sexual Assault Student Educators (SASE). Dr. Patterson’s clinical interests include depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, multiculturalism, women’s issues, and gender and sexual minority concerns. Her therapeutic style is integrative of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Feminist Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches.

Cake, cookies, candy, pie. All Desserts are my favorite desserts. I could never choose just one!
