Writing & Linguistics

Major Information

The Department of Writing and Linguistics at Georgia Southern University is one of only a handful of free-standing writing departments across the country. It is also a unique academic department in Georgia’s system that provides all undergraduates with a solid foundation in critical thinking, effective writing, and familiarity with current writing technologies, such as word processing, desktop publishing, email, web page design, and computer-mediated communication.
