Message from the Vice President

Dr. Teresa Thompson has been at Georgia Southern University since 2000. Prior to her role as Vice President, Dr. Thompson led Georgia Southern's enrollment management efforts which resulted in an increase of more than 1,500 students and an increase in SAT average of 70 points. This accomplishment resulted in the University moving in state ranking for entering freshmen SAT scores from the bottom 25% in the state to the top 25% in the state. Although she still spends a great deal of time on this comprehensive effort, her role as Vice President gives her the privilege of being involved in many aspects of the institution.

As Vice President, Dr. Thompson seeks to facilitate the integration of the academic experience of students with all aspects of university and student life. Dr. Thompson leads the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management as they deliver innovative programs and services which are responsive to the needs of students and foster community-building.
