Join Georgia Southern University Volunteer Services to help raise money for Children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital while having a great time in the process! Mud Volleyball will be happening on Saturday, October 20, 2007 as a kick-off to this year's Homecoming Week. This is a major fund-raising activity in which all money will be donated to help fight childhood cancer and catastrophic diseases.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a non-profit organization whose research has completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. The hospital costs over $1 million per day to run, because of research and because all patients seen at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay.
Georgia Southern University students and staff are invited to play in this single elimination tournament. Teams are co-ed and consists of 6-10 members. A $25 participation donation must be made when registering and will go towards helping the children at St. Jude fight childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
