Eligibility

Upward Bound at Georgia Southern University assists some 95 participants in completing high school and pursuing a postsecondary education. To be eligible for participation, a student must:

• Display potential for success at the postsecondary level.
• Reside in the Georgia counties of Bulloch, Emanuel, Chandler, Evans, or Screven.
• Be enrolled in 9th to 12th grades.
• Be a potential first generation college student in his or her family and /or meet the economic guidelines for low-income families.

Students begin receiving services within a month of their acceptance. Contact the appropriate Educational Program Specialist for additional information.
