Want to do broadcast?

Students who are interested in broadcast journalism begin in the Candidate Program, which is a semester long training program. During their candidate semester, trainees attend once-a-week classes learning about topics like libel, ethics, newsgathering and multimedia journalism. To join The George-Anne’s multimedia team students must complete the Candidate Program and then be voted in by the editorial board, which is made up of The George-Anne section editors.

Student Media holds tryouts for the Candidate Program during the second week of every fall and spring semester. After tryouts, students must complete an interview with The George-Anne editors. For more information, contact The George-Anne editor-in-chief at GAeditor@georgiasouthern.edu.
