Student Led, Student Read
Student Media is not only a student organization on Georgia Southern University’s campus but a hub for creative students looking to gain professional experience. Our motto is “Student led, Student read,” and the students who work here strive for excellence in their respective fields and truly find valuable skills necessary for the future job market.
There are six different areas of professional development offered within Student Media: creative, digital, newspaper, magazines, marketing, and business. The students involved in this award winning organization are solely responsible for everything that goes into both creating and distributing The George-Anne newspaper and several magazines.
These students create the following publications, each with a team working behind the scenes to support and fund the costs associated with production and distribution:
The George-Anne – student newspaper
Reflector – student lifestyle magazine
Miscellany – art and literary magazine
Our House – orientation magazine
Our Neighborhood – off-campus housing guide
Lantern Walk – graduation publication
