Dependent Educational Assistance Chapter 35
This portion of Title 10 U.S. Code authorizes benefits to dependents and survivors of veterans who are permanently and totally disabled from service-connected disabilities or injuries, or who have died from a service-connected cause, were a prisoner-of- war or where missing in action. The program offers up to 45 months of education benefits.

To Apply:
Obtain and submit the Application for Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance,
Form DD22-5490, and if possible a copy of the marriage license for a spouse or a birth certificate for a child to the Veterans Coordinator, Ms. Sharonica Daniels at the Rosenwald Bldg. Room 3201
After Awarded:
Benefits are paid on the first of each month for the previous month.
