Applications of Lasers: 3-0-3

A detailed study of the research and the development of laser applications, including applications of lasers in optical communication, industry, scientific and military research and in bio-medicine. Graduate students will be given an extra assignment determined by the instructor that undergraduates will not be required to do. Prerequisite: PHYS 5134.
