This Parents Association membership year (August 1 - July 31), the Office of Orientation and Parent Programs is going to offer a "Volunteer of the Year" award and recognition for the family that volunteers the most for one of our many opportunities. We know that many of you have been looking for ways to stay connected or be involved and we have provided more events to assist with, several in your hometowns and counties. Look forward to having you involved!


Admissions Recruitment Events
At all events parents will be assisting with check-in of families, and/or sharing your positive experience as a Georgia Southern Parent, while standing at the Parent Programs/ Parents Association display booth. Events in bold are held on Georgia Southern's campus.

Leadership Internships

Does your employer have leadership internship positions available? The internship experience should have an intentional leadership component such as observing/particpating in leadership discussion of challenges within the organization and the opportunity to learn from the decision process and observe how the business or organization is affected.

Career Workshop

Workshops are held monthly and are coordinated by the Career Services Center. Format are lecture or active learning on topics you have expertise or experience in. An example workshop might be resume writing to be held in October. All career backgrounds and expertise are needed.
