Parents Association Scholarships
Listed below are the scholarship offerings for the 2009-2010 Academic Year and their requirements. Award amounts are based on membership income and the number of qualified applicants. A minimum of $250 will be awarded per semester to the scholarship recipients.
2009-2010 Continuing Student application deadline is Wednesday, July 1, 2009
2009-2010 New Student application deadline is Monday, August 3, 2009

Requirements for Eligibility
- Applicant’s parents or guardians must be members in good standing with the Georgia Southern’s Parents Association.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate and currently enrolled full-time (a minimum of 12 hours) and not have a current/pending disciplinary record.
- Applicant must have completed 12 undergraduate hours at Georgia Southern University before Fall 2009.
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Applicant must show academic achievement.
- Students must attend classes at Georgia Southern University during the semester(s) for which the scholarship is awarded.

- Applicant must be an incoming student in Fall 2009.
- Applicant must have a minimum High School GPA of 3.0 and SAT score of 1100 or if transfer a minimum cumulative College GPA of 3.0.
- Applicant must show academic achievement.
- Students must attend classes at Georgia Southern University during the semester(s) for which the scholarship is awarded.

An impartial committee will be selected by the Office of Orientation and Parent Programs and will consist of faculty and staff members from across campus. This committee will meet to review applications.
