Parents Association

The Parents Association serves as a forum for parents, students, faculty and the University to exchange information and support, as well as foster parent participation and involvement. The Association seeks ways to enhance Georgia Southern University as an institution, while forging strong bonds between the University, students and their parents. We encourage you to take part in your students' experiences while they attend Georgia Southern University.

The Association hosts the Parents Mixer during the summer SOAR sessions. In addition to providing an opportunity for new parents to meet with members of the Parents Council, it also provides an opportunity for parents to share ideas on how they would handle various situations freshmen may encounter during their first year. Parents Association members have also assisted the Office of Admissions during recruitment events such as Open House and area Dessert Receptions.
