Dr. Todd Deal is the Director of Leadership Programs. He oversees the Leadership and Civic Engagement programming on campus.

Jodi Middleton is the Assistant Director of the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement. She coordinates the LEAD Scholarship program, Southern Pathways, Leadership and Civic Engagement Week, and the Peer Mentor program . Jodi earned her Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Sacramento, and her Master of Science in College Student Personnel from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. Jodi has been at Georgia Southern since July of 2006.

Diana Hensley, the Coordinator of Civic Engagement, began working at Georgia Southern in May of 2006. Diana has always enjoyed volunteering, and did an internship in the the Service-Learning Office at Minnesota State University, Mankato (where she earned her Master's Degree in Experiential Education). Prior to moving to the south, she had lived in Oregon and worked at a University there. Diana grew up in Wisconsin, and is used to snow and high temperatures of 85 in the summer, so if you see her melting in the summer, you'll know why! In her free time, Diana enjoys camping, swimming, playing tennis, and riding her bike.

Janna Pennington recently joined the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement as the Coordinator of Service Learning.  She works with faculty members on campus to create service-learning opportunities for Georgia Southern students and coordinates various service events throughout the year.  Janna received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Furman University and a Master of Education in Professional Counseling from The University of Georgia.

Roxanne Nobles is the Administrative Secretary in the office. She is one of the first people you see when you enter our offices and will be delighted to help you in any way she can. She helps keep our student assistants in the office informed and keeps the office running smoothly.
