Become a Holiday Helper!

Christmas Trees

For the 14th year, the Holiday Helper Tree will make an appearance at Lakeside Café! This tree will contain tags with the name and gift idea for a local individual or family who needs some help this holiday season. Please stop by the tree beginning Monday, November 5th . RETURN your gift(s) to the tree.

How to Get Involved

To sign up to volunteer, go to 1003 Carroll Building (Sociology and Anthropology Department Office).

Important Notes to Remember

  1. When returning the gift (wrapped or unwrapped), make sure the tag you took from the tree is taped to the outside of the gift (or we won’t know who to deliver it to)
  2. Upon returning your gift(s) (before Nov 28th!) you will get one ornament with your name on it to place on the tree
  3. Anyone affiliated with GSU is encouraged to participate! This is a huge project (approximately 900 people receive gifts from the program) and we need everyone’s help!

Families and individuals receiving gifts are sponsored by the following local facilities or agencies:

  • Joseph’s Home for Boys (JHB)
  • Safe Haven Domestic Violence Shelter (SH)
