Transportation Services
All Georgia Southern residential students are eligible to bring a car to campus.
Most students are able to park their car very close to their assigned hall. You can
register your car on-line through Transportation Services Web page. For more
information, visit

You must have your housing assignment before registering for parking!

University Store
The University Store has all of the required textbooks and support materials that are
needed for Georgia Southern classes. The average cost per semester for books and
supplies is approximately $350, depending on course selection. Most students prefer to
save money by buying used books. The University Store has an extensive selection of
used books for most classes. You may order you books online (along with insignia
apparel and gift items,) by visiting
www.gsustore.com. Students with financial aid
may also be eligible for a bookstore credit equal to the value of their excess aid.

Food Service
When you applied for Housing, you may have selected one of the following meal plans:
- 5 Plan- 5 meals, 1 meal/day, Mon-Fri
- 10 Plan- 10 meals, 2 meals/day, Mon-Fri
- 14 Plan- 14 meals, 2 meals/day, Mon-Sun
- 19 Plan- 19 meals, 3 meals/day Mon-Fri; 2 meals/day Sat-Sun
- All first-year students living in residence halls are required to
choose a 10,14,or 19 meals-per-week plan.
You may also want to open an EAGLEXPRESS account. This is a stored-value
account that can be used in all campus retail stores and over 50 off-campus
locations. To open an EAGLEXPRESS account and make a deposit, call
1-888-DINE_GSU, visit the ID Center in the Russell Union, or visit the
website, www.gsufoodservice.com.

Telephone Information
Local telephone service is provided to all residence hall students as part of their
semester housing fees. The following indicates specific information for each residence
hall.
- One phone line/number in ROOM:
Brannen, Watson, Kennedy Suites:
Call waiting is the only feature offered; students should bring a phone
and an answering machine.
- One phone line/number in each BEDROOM:
Sanford, Kennedy Apartments: Call waiting is the only feature offered;
students should bring a phone and an answering machine.
- One phone line/number in each LIVING ROOM:
Eagle Village, Southern Pines, Southern Courtyard, University Villas: Each bedroom in
these buildings also has a phone number/line; however; it is not
activated nor are the charges included in the semester fees. Students
living in one of these units have the ability to connect the bedroom
phone line through Frontier (the local phone company in Statesboro) and
will be responsible for all the associated charges. To connect the
bedroom telephone line, contact Frontier directly at 1.800.435.1504 or

Available services for students in these buildings include local, long
distance, voice mail, caller ID, call waiting, Call forwarding, high
speed Internet (DSL), etc. Students are required to provide their own
phone.

Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC)
Georgia Southern University is committed to providing an equal education opportunity to
qualified students with disabilities. The Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) is
the primary source of services for these students. Students with an array of
disabilities are eligible for services; however, documentation standards exist for all
conditions, including specific learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorder.
Services include advocacy with faculty, assistive teaching, early registration, books
on tape and other accommodations derived from documentation. There is no charge for
these services.
Students who wish to inquire about eligibility for services should call and schedule an
appointment with an SDRC staff member. The SDRC is located in Building 805 on Forest
