Check In Times
For Fall Semester 2009, check-in is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2009. Check-in is a centralized process and check-in times are determined by the month students were born. Check-in ends at the RAC at 5:00 p.m. It continues in each residence hall from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Check In Information
Upon your arrival to campus, go directly to the RAC (Recreation Activity Center) where you will receive your keys and other important materials. After reporting to the RAC, you will go directly to your assigned residence hall and complete your check-in! Students are encouraged to arrive on Friday to allow plenty of time to get settled, meet roommates, tour campus, and participate in the numerous activities planned for Welcome Week. Classes begin Monday, August 17th. Directions on how to find the RAC, as well as other information on check-in, can be found on Housing's website, www.gsuhousing.com, under the Opening '09 link.
Saturday and Sunday Arrivals
If you choose to arrive on Saturday, August 15th, or Sunday, August 16th, check-in is not centralized. Upon your arrival to campus, you should check-in directly at your assigned residence hall. Check in on Saturday and Sunday will be from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Please Note:
Any student who has not checked in by 9:00 a.m. August 17th and who has not notified University Housing of a late arrival will be considered a no-show and may risk losing his or her space. In addition, no-shows may be subject to monetary penalties outlined in the Housing Contract. Please feel free to review the terms and conditions of the contract at www.gsuhousing.com.
Early Arrivals
Marching band members, athletes, women participating in Rush, MAP sponsors, Residence Hall Association members and cheerleaders are just a few of the groups who typically request permission to check into the residence halls prior to the official check-in time. Updated information will be provided in the Opening '09 section of www.gsuhousing.com/omi/.
If you are a member of a group that needs to check in early, your advisor or coach will provide information regarding your check-in date, time, location, and any fees associated with a group. If you are not a member of a group, but need to arrive early, you may come as early as August 12th. The fee for early arrival is $50 per night.
