Merchant, farmer, real estate broker and successful banker, Charles Preetorius Olliff, Sr. (1887-1964) was one of the most vital businessmen in the Bulloch County area. Through his commercial interests and activities in the Chamber of Commerce and Statesboro Rotary Club, Olliff Hall was dedicated on October 29, 1966. The memories of “Mr. Charlie”, as he was fondly called, were still fresh in the minds and hearts of those who knew and loved him.
