	Chapter Name: Epsilon Xi Philanthropy: March of Dimes Motto: A Community-Conscious, Action-Oriented Organization Flower: White Rose Mascot: White Dove Colors: Royal Blue and Pure White White Dove Founded on January 16, 1920, Zeta Phi Beta was begun by five co-eds at Howard University. These women dared to depart from the traditional coalitions for African-American women and sought to establish a new organization  predicated on the precepts of scholarship, sisterly love, and finer womanhood.
