The major programs of the sorority are based on the Five Point Thrust of: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness & Involvement, Physical & Mental Health, and Political Awareness & Involvement.

Flower: Violet

Colors: Crimson and Cream

Delta Sigma Theta was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two women at Howard University. These students wanted to use their collective to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need.
