Fall Recruitment
Sunday, August 24th - Thursday, August 28th
The Recruitment schedule is designed to give each participant the opportunity to meet each
fraternity and make an informed decision.
Once initiated, fraternity membership is for a lifetime.
Schedule
Day One - Sunday, August 24,
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Fraternity Values Night at
Russell Union
Potential new members will be
informed of the recruitment process, schedule, and obligations
during an informational session with the IFC executive council.
Following this, they will have the chance to hear presentations from
each of the 14 national fraternities represented on campus as well
as have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with fraternity
representatives. Dinner will be served.
Day Two -
Monday, August 25,
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Smokers
Potential new members will have
the opportunity to visit any or all of the organizations of their
choosing. Alpha Tau Omega, Kappa Alpha Order, Kappa Sigma, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma
Alpha Epsilon, and Sigma Chi will be located in their houses on Olympic
Boulevard. Delta Chi, Delta Sigma Phi, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Theta Xi will be
located in their respective off-campus properties. Vans will be available to
drive interested men back and forth between these houses. The vans will make
repeated rotations, picking up at the cul-de-sac at the end of the street, so
that men can get back and forth easily. Delta Tau Delta, Phi Sigma Kappa, Sigma
Phi Epsilon, and Tau Kappa Epsilon will be located in several of the sorority
houses along Olympic Boulevard.
Day Three -
Tuesday August 26,
6:00
pm -9:00 pm
Potential new members will visit
the Greek Life Office to determine which three houses they would like to visit
for smokers this evening.
Smokers
Potential new members will
have the opportunity to visit any or all of the organizations of their choosing.
Alpha Tau Omega, Kappa Alpha Order, Kappa Sigma, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Alpha
Epsilon, and Sigma Chi will be located in their houses on Olympic Boulevard.
Delta Chi, Delta Sigma Phi, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Theta Xi will be located in
their respective off-campus properties. Vans will be available to drive

Day Four -
Wednesday, August 27,
9:00 am - 12:00 Noon & 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 pm
Potential
new members will visit the Greek Life Office to determine which three houses
they would like to visit for preference events. They may receive more than
three invitations, however, they may visit no more than three houses. They may
also choose to visit fewer than three houses.
Preference Rounds, 5:30-6:30,
7:00-8:00, 8:30-9:30
Potential new members will visit up to 3 houses
from which they have received and accepted invitations. They will pre-select the
houses they wish to visit and be assigned times to attend each of those
events. Alpha Tau Omega, Kappa Alpha Order, Kappa Sigma, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma
Alpha Epsilon, and Sigma Chi will be located in their houses on Olympic
Boulevard. Delta Chi, Delta Sigma Phi, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Theta Xi will be
located in their respective off-campus properties. Vans will make three trips –
in between each round to transport men visiting chapters that are not located on
Olympic Boulevard. Delta Tau Delta, Phi Sigma Kappa, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Tau
Kappa Epsilon will be located in several of the sorority houses along Olympic
Boulevard. I Chis and IFC executive officers will notify each house of the
change between events, and all potential new members must leave the house
between rounds. No potential new members will be allowed back into the houses
until the next round begins.
Day
Five - Thursday,
August 28,
9:00 am - 12:00 Noon & 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 pm
Bid Day
Potential new members report to the Greek Life Office
(Room 2007, Russell Union) by 4 p.m. to accept their bid.
Presidents must visit Greek Life Office
on this day,
between 4 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. to sign bid cards.

RegistrationFraternities may accept new members 365 days per year at their discretion.
