What Is the
Interfraternity Council?
The Interfraternity Council is the programming and governing body of the 15 nationally affiliated fraternities at Georgia Southern University. Every man who joins one of these groups becomes a member of IFC. Each group has two representatives, the chapter president and a chapter delegate. These individuals serve as the communication link between IFC and their chapters. This council meets twice per month. The IFC leadership is composed of a president and five executive officers. The Interfraternity Council has received recognition at the regional level for interfraternal standards, recruitment, leadership, publications, and programming.
