Governing Councils

At Georgia Southern University, Greek-letter fraternities and sororities are members of an umbrella conference or council based on their inter/national organization’s membership. At Georgia Southern, all Greek chapters belong to one of four campus-based councils that provide leadership and support for all council members: the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the Panhellenic Association (PHA).

Each council listed governs the organizations within their council. Executive board members are elected from the chapters to oversee the operations of that council as well as the Greek community. This means that they serve as a liaison between the chapters and the University, hold member organizations accountable, provide leadership, plan events, programs and much more. Below are the leaders of these councils as well as their governing documents.
