Letters of Recommendation

Recommendation letters and references forms are not required to participate in Formal Recruitment at Georgia Southern University.

Letters of recommendation and reference forms serve as a helpful tool in introducing a potential new member to the sorority and allows the sorority members an opportunity to get to know you in advance of formal recruitment. It is important to keep in mind that these letters and forms are not required to participate in the recruitment process and neither of these will guarantee a potential new member an invitation to events during recruitment week nor does it guarantee her membership in that sorority.

These official forms are specific to each individual sorority.  An alumna or collegian member will be able to find a copy of her sorority’s official recommendation letter format or reference form in either her sorority’s national magazine or on the sorority’s national website.  Please note, that while potential new members can seek out letters of recommendation or reference forms; it is ultimately not the responsibility of the potential new member to obtain a copy of the letter of recommendation or reference form for the alumna or collegian writing the letter or filling out the form. If she does not have access to the magazine or her login information for the website, please encourage her to call her national sorority headquarters.

In addition, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Georgia Southern University, does not have access to each individual sorority’s letter of recommendation or reference form information but we can provide the addresses to send letters and how to access forms. Please see the list below.
