Tau Kappa Epsilon

“When you choose to become a TKE, you’re choosing to take your college experience to an entirely different level. The days of wasting time on the couch in your dorm room will quickly become a thing of the past. TKEs are men of action. And as a member of TKE, you will become part of an exciting academic, social and cooperative lifestyle, doing for your brothers what you would do for yourself.”

History:

In the mid-late 1960’s a group of men at Georgia Southern College began seeking out the formation of a social fraternity. Initially forming under the name “The Southern Colony” these men petitioned national social fraternities for membership in their ranks.

The Lambda Upsilon chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon was founded on May 25th, 1968. The chapter is the first social fraternity recognized by Georgia Southern University, then Georgia Southern College.

With recruitment beginning in early 2013, the current colony of Lambda Upsilon was re-founded on October 9th, 2013 with 13 founding collegiate members. Today the colony continues to grow in size and remains committed to sharing its values at Georgia Southern University.
