Sigma Sigma Sigma

Sigma Sigma Sigma was founded by a group of eight women on April 20, 1898 in Farmville, Virginia.  Tri Sig was founded at the State Female Normal School (now Longwood University). Tri Sigma became part of the group of sororities known as the “Farmville Four” – four Greek letter sororities established at the State Female Normal School between 1898 and 1901.

Mission Statement:

To establish among its members a perpetual bond of friendship, to develop in them strong womanly character, and to impress upon them high standards of conduct.

Vision Statement:

Sigma Sigma Sigma will provide exceptional experiences that will empower women to change the world.

Sigma Sigma Sigma reaffirms its long standing core values of wisdom, power, faith, hope and love.
