What is your favorite thing about Greek Life and Why?

My favorite thing about Greek Life is how beneficial the experience is. There are so many advantages of Greek Life including making friends that you may not have met otherwise, being a part of a student led organization that does many activities and ideally builds better men, networking, learning leadership skills, time management, experiencing the brotherhood felt by a lifelong commitment based on shared values, doing more with your college experience than watching TV or playing video games, but doing community service, hosting grand scale events that donate money to charity, having wonderful socials, and knowing that you have done it. It was all accomplished by students.

Describe the relationships you have established through Greek Life.

I have had the opportunity to build relationships with the school, professors, people of the community, members of all ages and from very diverse backgrounds.

The most important benefit of Greek Life is not only the brotherhood and memories made, but the ideals bestowed upon each of us. These are the ideals that change our lives and never leave us.

What is your favorite thing about Greek Life and why?

Never having to tackle anything alone. Big Test? Someone will be there to help me study. Few dollars short on the rent? Someone is there to help me. Need Advice? Someone will be there to guide me.

Describe the relationships you have established through Greek Life.

Because of my fraternity, I've had the chance to meet and get to know some amazing people. When I came to Georgia Southern I never expected to have the Director of Revenue of Savannah sitting in the same meeting as me every Sunday, or to have shaken hands with the president of the sugar bowl. All in all because of my fraternity I have had the opportunity to meet and seek advice from a wide variety of influential people.

What is your favorite service activity you have done? Why?

Relay for Life is hands down my favorite because my chapter has been deeply touched by cancer and it pleases me to donate our time and raise money for the fight against it.

What is something you value about the leadership experiences you have gained through Greek Life?

I have learned that it's not impossible to please everyone so you have to have some sort of compromise in all situations. For me, meeting that compromise has become second-nature. The ability to delegate is a life skill that will serve me well in the future.
