Work-Study Programs
Federal Work-Study (FWS)
FWS is a need-based program awarded as part of the financial aid package. Students can check to see if they are a FWS award recipient by accessing their financial aid award information online at https://my.georgiasouthern.edu
Under this program, awarded students are allowed to apply for Federal Work Study Student Employee positions through the Student Employment Center at http://jobs.georgiasouthern.edu/SEC/.
America Reads
America Reads is a Federal Work Study program and is a need-based award. Students work in the Bulloch County public schools, tutoring kindergarten through third grade students in reading.
Participating students must maintain a 2.5 overall GPA. Contact Educational Opportunity Programs at http://students.georgiasouthern.edu/eop/ for more information.
Institutional Student Employment Program
The Institutional Work program is not need based and does not require a financial aid award. Under this program students usually work from 10 to 20 hours a week . Jobs are posted and updated regularly by the Student employment center at http://jobs.georgiasouthern.edu/SEC/.
