Fees

Students are not responsible for tuition and mandatory non-course-related fees, such as technology, transportation, and student activity fees that traditional students would otherwise pay. In order to receive the funds necessary to cover tuition and waive mandatory non-course related fees, students must submit their GAfutures MOWR Scholarship Application prior to the beginning of every semester. For more information on this application and the process, click here.

Move On When Ready students have access to almost all fee-supported services, including the RAC, student activities, and even attendance at athletic events. However, MOWR students do not have access to Fraternity and Sorority Life, Health Services, the Counseling Center (except in crisis situations or for referrals) due to their status at Georgia Southern.

Course Fees

Students are responsible for fees attached to specific courses for equipment and supplies, known as course fees. Not all courses have course fees, but many science and physical activity courses do. Course fees typically range from $20 to $55, however some courses have higher fees. For example, KINS 1115 (Bowling) has a $135 course fee. Some examples of courses that require fees ranging between $20 and $55 are MATH 1111 (College Algebra, for hybrid sections), CHEM 1145 (Chemistry), BIOL 1110/1210 (Biology), and most KINS courses.

To check if any course fees are due, students should navigate to WINGS and click on Student, then Account Summary, and Account Summary by Term. Be sure that the term displaying is for the current or upcoming semester. Click here to view an example of an Account Summary showing a course fee. Course fees are due by the first day of classes in order to prevent holds and removal from courses. For more information and instructions on paying fees, click here.
