Early Registration

What are CRN #'s ??

Prior to your appointment for Early Registration, you will need to find your CRN #'s and write them on your advisement sheets. These CRN #'s are ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for us to be able to register you for classes. If you do not have the CRN #'s you cannot register with us.

Many people confuse Course #'s with CRN #'s. Here's an example: many students meet with their advisor and are told to take American Government, or "POLS 1101". "POLS 1101" is a Course #. The CRN # DIFFERS because it tells us not only that it is a POLS 1101 class, but the day/time as well as the professor teaching the class. The CRN # is a 5 digit number located next to the course number. The picture below indicates the CRN #, which is circled in red

Notice how the 5 digit CRN # is located between the Course Name (American Government) and the Course # (POLS 1101). In this instance, that CRN # tells us that you would like American Government with Professor Patrick J. Novotny, on Tuesday/Thursdays from 11AM-12:15PM.

Make sure and write down these CRN #'s for each class you wish to take so when you come in for your Early Registration appointment you can be easily registered.
