Non-Traditional Women’s Group
A “working activity group” designed to explore, evaluate, and contribute to evolving identity as men and women.
This group is designed to provide a supportive environment for college women to explore the many issues which tend to have an especially significant impact on the lives of women. Although facilitated by a staff psychologist, group discussion is determined by the members. Topics often raised include sexuality, sexual assault/abuse, relationships with family, friends, and romantic partners, multiple life roles, etc. |
This group is for students who want to resolve specific concerns and/or to work on their interpersonal communication skills. The aim of this group is to encourage personal growth while also providing social support. Members can get their peers' perspectives on various issues, and will come to realize that they are not alone. Members explore and share about patterns of relating to self and others with the goal of developing greater understanding and acceptance of themselves and others. Presenting issues vary widely from anxiety, depression, social anxiety, and difficulties relating to/accepting self or others, to issues of family conflict, abuse, etc. For more information or to sign up, please contact: |
This group is for students diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. The group is designed for providing support and education while focusing on therapeutic issues specifically related to adjusting to living with Bipolar Disorder.
This group is for those self-identifying as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, or queer, or for those who may be questioning or struggling with their sexual or gender identity. This group provides an opportunity to discuss general issues, such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, substance abuse, or self-esteem, within a safe and supportive environment. In addition, this can be a forum to discuss issues specific to being a sexual minority, such as coming out, homophobia, double or triple minority status, and managing relationships in a predominantly heterosexual culture. |
