Important! If You Are in Immediate Crisis...
Do NOT attempt to contact us via email or any form located on this web site. Instead, call the Counseling Center during regular business hours (M-F, 8:00-5:00) at (912)478-5541, or call the Georgia Southern Campus Police at 478-5234 to speak with an on-call counselor, or call the local police at 911. |
Crisis intervention is a service offered to students who are in serious, immediate emotional distress. Psychologists are on call 24 hours a day to handle emergencies such as suicide attempts, rape or attempted rape, physical assaults, and other types of crises. If you or a friend is in a psychological crisis, visit or call the Center during regular business hours at 478-5541 and tell the receptionist you have an emergency. After hours during the week or on weekends, call Campus Police at 478-5234 and ask them to page the on-call psychologist, who will call you back.
