Nikki Tobeck, B.S.

Hi I’m Nikki! I am originally from Illinois and I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2015 with a B.S in Psychology. After graduation, I moved to Savannah, GA to escape the snowy winters. While living in Savannah and exploring graduate programs, I discovered Georgia Southern’s Counselor Education program. I have always been passionate about helping people obtain their overall wellness and eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health. I am currently a second year M.Ed Counselor Education student with a concentration in clinical mental health counseling.  My professional interests include mood and adjustment disorders, identity formation, multiculturalism, and career counseling. I incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral therapeutic approaches as well as aspects of Existential and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I hope to find a future career working with young adults and I am very excited to work with college students at Georgia Southern’s Counseling Center!
