As a student of Georgia Southern University, if you feel you are a victim of either a violation of the law or of the Student Conduct Code, you have the following rights:
- Regardless of whether an act is in violation of the law, the victim may file a charge against the student with a violation of the Student Conduct Code.
- To have a person of their choice accompany them throughout the student conduct process.
- To submit a victim impact statement prior to a penalty being imposed.
- To have past unrelated behavior excluded from the hearing.
