Major Information

A Bachelor of Science in Mathematics is offered at Georgia Southern. This degree program includes lecture and laboratory classes designed to establish a fundamental understanding of the major areas of mathematics. In addition to the university core curriculum of course work in essential skills, humanities, fine arts and social science, math students take courses in math appropriate to the program as well as any additional courses needed. As a student in Georgia Southern’s bachelor’s degree program in mathematics, you will learn to solve problems in the areas of calculus, algebra, probability and statistics, but you will also learn how to demonstrate logical argumentation and writing skills.
