Career Exploration is a helpful way to assist
students with issues such as choosing a major, career opportunities
within majors and graduate/professional school planning.
Career Resource Center (CRC)
The CRC is available to students Monday through
Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and from 8:00am to 5:00pm on
Fridays. Resources include:
- Major Binders — Contain a one page
fact sheet for every major which describes job opportunities
and the skills required.
- Career Books — Publications about
different career fields, grouped in the CRC by major area
of study.
- Job Search Resources — Books, guides,
and directories to help students prepare for the job search
process.
- Company Literature — Employer profiles,
directories, annual reports, and videotapes assist students
in conducting company research.
- Computer Lab with Internet Access —
Available for students to look for jobs on-line, create
résumés, research employers, and more.
- Résumé Samples — Provide
an example of what a résumé can contain. There
are samples for most all majors at Georgia Southern.

Career Advising
Appointments are available for one-on-one
career advising. Walk-in assistance is available Monday through
Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Fridays from 8:00am to
5:00 pm.
On-Line Resume Critiquing
Do you have a rough draft of a resume but may
not have time to drop it by the Career Services' Office? Then
why not email it? If you would like for a professional to
review your resume, please email it to the "Career Doctor"
within your college, and someone will critique your resume
and assist you in developing the perfect resume to help you
land the job of your dreams.
