Career Fairs and Other Events

Georgia Southern University Career Services hosts several different opportunities for you to meet, recruit, and help students.   Listed below is a full list of career fairs and other recruitment events you can participate in.  You do not have to have an Eagle Career Net account to register for the different career fairs.  Payment for the fairs can be made via credit card at the time of registration or mailed in check.  An invoice will be provided when you register.

All Career Services events at Georgia Southern University are open to ALL majors.

Eagle Expo and Education Career Fair

February 24, 2010, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (Recreation Activity Center)

Held twice a year (once in the Fall and once in the Spring) the Georgia Southern University Eagle Expo provides students (of any major) with the opportunity to meet approximately 150 employers from a variety of industries including school systems. The Eagle Expo & Education Career Fair is Georgia Southern University's largest and most comprehensive corecruiting event. It is open to all 19,000 students covering 130 plus majors. The fair is held at the Recreation Activity Center (RAC).

Registration fee:

The registration fee of $200 includes one table, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for two participants. Additional participants are $20 per person.

Meet the Students: A Reverse Career Fair

March 30, 2010, 5:50 pm – 7:30 pm (Russell Union Ballroom)

Many recruiters have stated they want to connect with different student groups on campus, Meet the Students will allow you to do just that! The student groups will man the tables and the recruiters will walk around. Recruiters will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of student groups on campus and how you can network with them.

Dining for Success

Tuesday, February 23, 2010, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm (Russell Union Ballroom)

This event gives students the chance to meet employers in a business dinner setting plus learn about proper dining etiquette. Students will learn great networking skills to propel them into their professional careers.  Event is held the night prior to the Eagle Expo & Education Career Fair.  To register for this event please go to the Eagle Expo registration site.  Many employers register for both events. 

Your $250 per table sponsorship includes:

  • Increased company recognition among students
  • Step-by-step instructions from renowned etiquette specialist Lydia Ramsey
  • Delicious five-course catered meal
  • Table seating for 8 (6 students & 2 company reps)

Co-Op, Internship & Summer Job Fair

Wednesday, January 27, 2010, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm (Russell Union Ballroom)

Held once a year in the spring semester this fair, student (of any major) can explore different internship and summer job opportunities The fair is held at the Russel Union Ballroom.

Graduate School Fair

Wednesday, November 10, 2010, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (TBA)

Over 50 graduate schools from around the country come to recruit Georgia Southern students for their masters, specialist and doctoral programs.

Registration fee:

The registration fee of $150 includes one table, breakfast, and afternoon snacks for two participants. Additional participants are $20 per person.

Government, Military & Non-Profit Career Fair

Thursday, January 28, 2010, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm (Russell Union Ballroom)

Held once a year in the spring semester this fair, students (of any major) can explore different opportunities offered by Government Agencies, Military Branches and Non-Profit organizations. The fair is held at the Russell Union Ballroom.

Registration fee:

The registration fee of $100 includes one table, lunch, and afternoon snacks for two participants. Additional participants are $20 per person.
