Information Sessions are usually scheduled
the night before employer on-campus interviews. These sessions
are great tools for new employers recruiting on campus as
well as companies who are familiar with GSU to reach qualified
candidates. Info sessions are designed to give candidates
basic company information, i.e. demographics, culture, future
organizational plans, job information, benefits, company history,
etc.
Information Session Tips:
- Info Session will be conducted at the Russell
Student Union (unless requested by the employer).
- Info sessions will be advertised on the
Career Services Webpage under "Events Calendar".
- While attendance at information sessions
is strongly encouraged, it is not mandatory (unless
indicated by the employer).
- Our facility is equipped with an overhead
projector and LCD panel (at a small fee).
- The best sessions are relaxed and informal
conversations over pizza and soft drinks.
- Food service can be coordinated through
GSU catering or through a local restaurant.
- Presentations that are short, snappy and
jazzy leave the best impression. The sessions should be
fun and informative.
