U.S. History & Constitution

Cost: No Charge
Test Times: By Appointment Only; 9:00 am – 11:00 am & 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Schedule a Test: Contact the Testing Office to schedule your desired testing date.  It is recommended to call one week prior.
Retesting: One retest is permitted no sooner than one (1) week after the first attempt and only twice a semester.

The Georgia State Legislature imposed this test battery on the University System of Georgia to assure that they exposed all college graduates from the system, either through academic courses or written examination, to the fundamentals of federal and state government. Eligibility requirements for this test are established by the Registrar’s Office.

Registration: Call the Office of Testing Services to add the study guide materials to your FOLIO.

Successful completion of the following courses may exempt one or both of the exams:
Georgia Constitution & U.S. Constitution: POLS 1101/1101H
Georgia History & U.S. History: HIST 2110/2110H
Georgia Constitution: POLS 3330
Georgia Constitution & Georgia History: HIST 4130

The Office of Testing Services offers an on-line study course for both the Georgia History and Constitution exams. To get information on the on-line study course, contact the Office of Testing Services at 912-478-5415, to have the study guide added to your FOLIO.

Picture Identification Required for All Tests
Please make sure you bring an acceptable ID

Acceptable IDs are: a valid state driver’s license, student ID or passport.
(Not accepted: check cashing cards, picture credit cards, Sam’s cards, etc.)
