Georgia Southern University will grant up to 30 semester hours of general education credit to those students who obtain the minimum CLEP scores defined by university policy (see Georgia Southern CLEP Policy). Credit will not be awarded if the student has previously registered for a similar course or a more advanced course in the same field, or if six months have not elapsed since last taking the exam.  Georgia Southern students are encouraged to speak with a representative from the Registrar’s Office prior to taking an exam if you are a transfer student or had previous enrolled in class but dropped the class prior to receiving grade to ensure Georgia Southern will accept the exam.  It is the students’ responsibility to contact the Registrar’s Office.  The Registrar’s Office is located on the 3rd floor of the Rosenwald building and the phone number is 912.478.5152.
