Joy Hamm is the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Greek Life at Georgia Southern University. Prior to coming to Georgia Southern University, Ms. Hamm served as the Patterson Court Advisor at Davidson College (2003-2006) and Area Director and Advisor to Fraternities and Sororities at Wingate University (2000-2003). Ms. Hamm is responsible for heading the Georgia Southern University Alcohol Education Task Force and the Campus and Community Coalition, providing substance-free programming for Georgia Southern students, educating students about the risk and consequences of alcohol and other drug use, and helping to ensure a safe environment for Georgia Southern students. She earned her Bachelor of Arts – Psychology and Political Science from Lenoir-Rhyne College in 1995 and received a Master of Arts in Counselor Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2005. |

Allen ~ Alcohol and Other Drugs Graduate Assistant
Adam Allen is the the Graduate Assistant for the Alcohol & Other Drug Program at Georgia Southern University. Mr. Allen is responsible for assisting in alcohol education, providing substance-free programming for Georgia Southern students, raising alcohol & drug awareness and administering substance abuse assessments to students. Mr. Allen earned his Bachelor of Science in Broadcasting, with minors in Marketing and Management in 2008 from Georgia Southern University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Georgia Southern University. |

Hello Georgia Southern Student Body. I am LaMarquis King, I am a 21 year old Information Technology Major with a second concentration in Justice Studies. I am originally from Americus, GA. You have probably seen me around campus. I was very active with Eagle Entertainment serving as a volunteer for one year and a team leader for two. I am very excited about joining the AOD team as a student assistant. I am very energetic and enjoy putting smiles on people's faces. |

Hey everyone! My name is Berkeley Arakawa and I am a Sophomore Sports Medicine major from Gainesville, Georgia. I am so excited to be apart of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Program, and I can't wait to get the campus involved in the programs we've started working on! This past year at Georgia Southern, I was a Freshman Senator, as well as a Bassist of the Georgia Southern Symphony. Also, I am currently a Southern Ambassador, Peer Leader and Mentor, and the Administrative Chair for Homecoming 2008. Some of my favorite things to do? I love anything Georgia Southern! Football, Barbeques, Friends and Fun!
